Nordic Sports PEI
Consisting of the newly combined forces of former Biathlon PEI and Cross-Country Ski PEI, Nordic Sports PEI boasts a 26-lane competition-standard facility at the Mark Arendz Provincial Ski Park Brookvale Nordic Centre and growing membership.
We are proud to offer a full range of programs from introductory levels to the elite athlete level, with year-round training including range work, roller skiing (in the summers), and a series of camps and clinics. Our athletes range from age 8 to over 50, and compete at all levels of competition. Nordic Sports are for a lifetime and we are proud to foster a love of it in our communities here on Prince Edward Island.
Nordic Sports PEI athletes are provided with competitive opportunities throughout the Maritime provinces and beyond, including representing us at the National Championships. In the past few years, we have contributed to the emerging Atlantic Canada biathlon competition circuit by hosting an Atlantic Cup competition, as well as offering an active officials and coaching development program. We now look forward to being a leading contributor to Nordic Sports in the Atlantic provinces and Nordiq Canada.
Nordic Sports PEI is incorporated as a non-profit organization under the Companies Act of PEI. We are a member of Sport PEI and we are affiliated as a Division with Nordiq Canada. Through these affiliations we carry liability insurance coverage and accident insurance for our members.
